Join the largest network of veterinarians and paraprofessionals in New Zealand. Membership with the New Zealand Veterinary Association is open to all veterinarians in New Zealand, at all stages of their career.
You can join the NZVA if you are
- A VCNZ registered veterinarian working in New Zealand or overseas
- A student studying at the Massey University School of Veterinary Science
- A non-veterinarian working in the industry as either a Large Animal Veterinary Technician or in another role e.g. Practice Manager (with a supporting member veterinarian)

If you pay for your own membership
On 31 October your membership will auto-renew and an invoice generated on your NZVA account.

If your employer pays for your membership
In September, the NZVA will contact employers with membership renewal instructions.

Your membership will auto-renew for 2022.

NZVA membership is all inclusive and includes access to NZVA member benefits plus optional registration to any or all NZVA Special Interest Branches. When renewing your membership, nominate your main work interest and select as many SIBs that you would like to associate with.
When all veterinarians in a clinic are NZVA members, all support staff (administration and/or veterinary nurses) receive free associate membership, providing access to the Wellbeing Hub, discounted CPD and non-technical information.
The 2022 Membership Year covers the period 1/1/2022 – 31/12/2022. All fees are quoted in NZD and include 15% GST. See the NZVA constitution for membership terms and conditions for all NZVA members and prospective members. Any membership fees which are outstanding after 25 January 2022 will result in termination of access to member-only content until the invoice is paid.
