The Complementary Veterinary Medicine Branch (CVMB) of the NZVA was formed to provide educational opportunities and support to veterinarians on integrative medicine. Through our dedicated committee of volunteer practitioners we encourage sustainable healthcare options and working towards a healthier planet.
Our branch provides a support base for vets in general practice and integrative practice. We educate the public on responsible animal ownership and the broad range of options available for animal healthcare. We also maintain strong relationships with like-minded veterinarians and their respective associations overseas.
Our vision is to increase the awareness, amongst our colleagues and the public, about integrative healthcare and the importance that it has in a sustainable future where the wellbeing of the animal, environment and community is paramount.
Furthermore, we aim to encourage a greater national acceptance and practice of various complementary therapy tools.
Membership is open to all NZVA members by way of an additional subscription fee. First year veterinary graduates receive complimentary membership for their first year of practice. To join outside the membership renewal period please email firstname.lastname@example.org
