NZVA media release: Antimicrobial resistance a significant global challenge for animal and human health

Veterinarians and animal owners can help New Zealand play its part in meeting the challenge of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), one of the biggest global threats to human and animal health. The WHO is raising awareness of the issue, which it regards as a significant issue globally, through World Antibiotic Awareness Week (18-24 November).

NZVA media release: Collaboration key to addressing the challenge of antimicrobial resistance in New Zealand

The New Zealand Veterinary Association is supporting rural veterinarians and farmers to reduce on-farm antibiotic use so they can assist in global efforts to slow the development of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
