The New Zealand Veterinary Association (NZVA) identified an increasing demand for high quality, continuing education for veterinarians, and is partnering with Massey University to develop this unique opportunity for veterinarians.
The NZVA and Massey University CPD pathway is a series of courses and papers that lead to an official qualification, providing qualified veterinarians with direction and incentive in their continued education, and the tools veterinarians need to develop their careers.
The courses in each CPD pathway can work towards a Massey University qualification or can be taken as stand-alone courses. You will need to enrol in the Massey University qualification to gain the credit towards that qualification.
The pathways are developed based on particular species. The first CPD pathway developed is for Sheep, Beef and Deer. The Dairy Cattle CPD pathway will be developed in 2018, and there are plans for additional pathways for Equine and Companion Animal.
To view the courses, select the CPD pathway from the main menu above.
The development of the NZVA CPD Pathway was made possible by the hard work of Charlotte Cantley (NZVA Continuing Professional Development Academic Director), Clive Bingham (Zoetis and member of NZVA Society of Sheep and Beef Cattle Veterinarians) and Victoria Chapman (Zoetis and member of the NZVA Deer Branch).
We would also like to acknowledge Massey University for working with us on this project. Special thanks to Ewen Cameron, Paul Kenyon, Jenny Weston, Liz Norman and Kate Hill.
