We are Stronger Together with Inclusive Membership for 2021
Be part of a lively and collegial professional network! Belonging to the NZVA means you stay connected with your colleagues and the rest of the profession, keep up with the latest information and enjoy opportunities to meet other movers and shakers in the industry and beyond.
Special Interest Branches and Regional Networks
Our national network of Special Interest Branches (SIBs) and Regional Networks provide plenty of opportunity for members to network, learn and socialise. Each branch is run by a committee of volunteers who works on your behalf.
Members receive complimentary membership to their regional branch. Regional Networks organise and host local CPD and social events, as well as coordinate and communicate information to you at important times, such as civil defence emergencies.
Members can choose to belong to SIBs to build species-specific knowledge and professional relationships. Each SIB has its own benefits of membership, which can include advocacy, special specific newsletters, grants and awards, forums / discussion groups and more.
NZVA committees / Regional Networks
Members can join our SIB and Regional Network committees, providing opportunities to work with others to help shape the veterinary profession of the future.
Our annual conference is a highlight on the annual calendar.
NZVA forums and roadshows
These give members opportunities to talk face-to-face with fellow members and the NZVA Board about the challenges of the profession, and where the profession is headed.
NZVA members-only Facebook group
Share and communicate directly with colleagues around the country in our closed group.
International Veterinary Association membership
NZVA members working overseas can get a free three month membership to Australian, British, or the US veterinary associations if they are working in those countries. Contact membership at firstname.lastname@example.org
