New Plymouth Districts Veterinary Group is a Best Practice accredited clinic currently employing 15 veterinarians, situated in New Plymouth.

If you are considering a move to the more affordable provinces, consider New Plymouth as your destination.

We are a busy mixed practice with companion animal, production animal (Dairy) and lifestyle facets. There is a solid base of experienced staff helping to support younger team members. Our website www.npvet.co.nz has more information.

A position is available due to a veterinarian embarking on parenthood. Ideally, this position is suited to the veterinarian who is prepared to participate in both large and small animal rosters – however serious consideration would be given to either a large animal or companion animal applicant. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

This role is full-time with a component of after-hours. Currently, there is a half day per week available for personal time. While there is an after-hours component to this role, full support from fellow practice members is always available with a support person rostered with each duty period. This commitment currently equates to one night per week and one weekend in five.

Remuneration will be based on experience with all after-hours being paid in addition to the agreed annual salary. The practice also funds private health insurance and income protection insurance as added benefits.

At the heart of our business is a set of core values: excellence, empathy, integrity, innovation, and enjoyment. We offer a fantastic location, friendship, support, and an experienced team to help you integrate into our practice. The workload is busy, hectic (at times) and varied – as such expect to be challenged.
