This includes informing them of the Association’s role for their chosen career including membership benefits, CPD activity, mentoring programmes, well-being and VPIS insurance. Other topics will cover what a working week will look like in the first few years of being a veterinarian, and how to juggle family with work.

Congratulations on being in your final year of study. You’re soon to become a graduate veterinarian and NZVA are here to support you.

As part of your BVSc 5 programme, NZVA are holding a half day seminar giving you insight into the NZVA strategy and how we can assist you in your journey to becoming a graduate veterinarian.

Hear from committee and NZVA representatives who will highlight how we work for our members and our member benefits. Practice principals will speak about why they hire new grads and how certain vet business issues may affect you.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions and to deliver your thoughts on what you would like to see from NZVA as a graduate veterinarian.
