Society of Sheep and Beef Cattle Veterinarians

The Sheep and Beef Society of the NZVA has the following objectives:

• To establish within the NZVA an organisation with a special interest in sheep and beef cattle.
• To be recognised as an authoritative group from which council, NZVA and other organisations may seek advice on appropriate matters pertaining to sheep and beef cattle.
• Enhance the efficiency of the sheep and beef cattle industries and their contribution to the national economy by the promotion and encouragement of a more effective veterinary contribution by the following and other means:
  • The organisation and staging of appropriate post graduate courses for the exchange of information.
  • To promote the collation and distribution of field and research data relating to sheep and beef cattle problems.
