Pig Veterinary

The Pig Veterinary Society of the NZVA has the following objectives:

• To enhance veterinary contributions to the health, welfare and management of, and research, into New Zealand's pig industry.
• To promote communication between veterinarians and non-veterinarians with expertise in health, welfare, management, research and production of pigs.
• To work with all groups in the pig industry to promote quality assurance in all aspects of pig production and processing.
• To disseminate information on pigs to members by the following and other means;
  • Seminars held at various venues throughout New Zealand. At least one major seminar normally being held each year.
  • The issue of bulletins and newsletters on pig topics.
