Food Safety, Animal Welfare and Biosecurity

Objectives:

The objectives of the Branch shall be, particularly in the areas of animal health, animal welfare, biosecurity, epidemiology, food safety, government assurances, public health, quality assurance, and standard setting:

• To advance the study and knowledge of veterinary science;

• To be recognised as an authoritative group from which Board of NZVA and other organisations may seek advice;

• To enhance the profile of the professional and competent veterinary service provided by members;

• To initiate and provide professional and social fellowship through the participation in meetings, conferences and other communication media.
