Epidemiology

The Epidemiology Branch of the New Zealand Veterinary Association aims:

• To establish within the NZVA an organization with a special interest in epidemiology and animal health management
• To provide a means of communication among people who have a common interest in the use and development of epidemiological methods and their application to the practice of veterinary science in New Zealand.
• To make the wider veterinary community aware of improved ways in which the health of populations under their care can be managed and to act as a centre of expertise in this area.
• To enhance the knowledge and skills of members, and hence to allow them to contribute fully to the care and management of animals and their products.
