4th year vet student from Switzerland seeks work Jan/Feb 2013
Posted: 23/02/2012, Expiry: 22/06/2012
Students seeking work experience
I am a veterinary student in the 4th academic year at the Vetsuisse Faculty Zurich, Switzerland. The veterinary education in Switzerland consists of 5½ years of studying. The last year is a complete practical year where the students spend 32 weeks working in the different clinical and paraclinical institutes of the faculty. Additionally students complete two additional traineeships totalling at least 8 weeks. One traineeship must be in Switzerland and the other is the student's own choice.
I would really like to do a 4-6 week traineeship in New Zealand in January and February 2013. I would prefer to work in the Rodney District with farm animals, but also have a special interest in small ruminants such as sheep and goats as well as New World camelids.
During my stay in New Zealand I also intend to attend the International Sheep Veterinary Congress 2013 in Rotorua.
I have previously visited New Zealand in 2006/2007, where I spent three months on a friend's farm.
I can provide a CV and confirmation of my university study and if you need anything else please ask for it.
