Auctioning rams for 2012's Baaarely There calendar

Massey University's 3rd year veterinary students have kick-started their fundraising for this year's Barely There calendar by auctioning off two rams.

Want to increase the wool weight and diversity of your flock?

The two 2-tooth Lincoln rams - generously donated by Bruce Worsnop of Kwool Lincoln Stud in Hawke’s Bay - are being sold in two separate auctions to raise funds for their annual calendar.

The Lincoln breed boasts having the longest and heaviest wool of all long wool breeds, producing 7-9 kg of wool per stock unit wintered.

Take me to the TradeMe auction now so I can make my bid (closes Wednesday 15 February).

Barely There...

Each year Massey University's third year vet students produce an increasingly popular fundraising calendar where 10% of the proceeds are donated to charity and the rest goes towards their well-deserved halfway celebrations.

This year's calendar is themed around the 2012 Olympics and is raising money for the New Zealand Wildlife Health Centre.

NZVA is a proud supporter of this great initiative, and assists our future vets with advertising, media and press releases, and advice on how best to manage sales and logistics.

Calendars go on sale from May.  Keep an eye out for them at www.vetcalendar.co.nz
