NZVA awards: nominations open

Part of being a proud and successful profession is acknowledging and celebrating the contributions of others.

The NZVA is seeking nominations for the 2018 NZVA Awards. The award winners will be announced at the 2018 NZVA conference.

There are three awards:

The President's Award

This award recognises individuals or organisations who accomplish extraordinary achievements on behalf of the profession, and provide meritorious service to the profession in the broadest sense.

Outstanding Service Award

This award recognises long and valued services to the NZVA, our special interest and regional branches, and standing committees.

Honorary Life Membership

This award recognises individuals whose contribution to the NZVA has been of an exceptional nature.

How to make a nomination


You can send your nominations to CEO Mark Ward at mark.ward@vets.org.nz. Nominations are open now and close on 1 December 2017.

Please include:

  • the nominee’s full Curriculum Vitae (CV) with bibliography
  • a cover letter with a brief overview of the nominee’s professional background
  • a statement outlining the nominee’s work (including community service) in relation to the award and its criteria.
