Wages and salaries benchmarking survey good for business
Tuesday, 15 August 2017
The MPV Wages and Salaries benchmarking survey is coming up soon. Don't miss this opportunity to benchmark wages and salaries with veterinary practices around the country.
- Take the guess work out of salary negotiations.
- Negotiate with credible industry data.
The Wages and Salaries benchmarking survey will run in October. It is designed, analysed and adapted to suit the New Zealand veterinary practice by MPV Consulting – specialists in veterinary surveys, statistics, and benchmarking. MPV is an Australian-based company that the NZVA has been working with for a number of years to collect valuable data on behalf of our members.
NZVA CEO Mark Ward says this is a great opportunity to get a confidential report on how your business is performing in the current market.
"Practice owners who have taken part in the survey before have told me that it is money well spent - whether they own one or multiple clinics. Several have said that it was the most valuable business survey they have taken part in."
The Wages and Salaries benchmarking survey form is quick and simple to fill in, and the results are tailored to you. The results are presented in a way that ensures strict anonymity for all practices taking part.
Once completed and analysed, you will receive a clear document with a snapshot of how your business is performing in the current market, and detailed information relating to two areas:
- A direct comparison of each staff member to the industry average for the type of employment groups that you have specified.
- Industry performance information for both the total veterinary industry, and performance results for your own profile groups.
Here's more information on the survey, including frequently asked questions.
The cost to take part is $295 for the first clinic and $200 (GST inclusive) for additional clinics (if you own more than one clinic and would like both/all clinics to participate).

If you'd like to participate please fill in this online form. We plan to run the survey in October, with results released in November.
