Put yourself into the mix at our fifth multidisciplinary ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ conference being held in Hamilton on 19–22 June 2018

For centuries, veterinarians have treated patients large and small and used their skills to help animals and the people who care for them. Much has changed in the world since the first veterinary school was opened in France in 1761, yet veterinarians still experience a life filled with variety and never-ending challenges. Happily, with a good dose of humour and compassion – as epitomised by the James Herriott stories of the ‘70s – the love of the animal world continually shines through!

Today’s rapidly changing attitudes to the animal world are creating challenges and opportunities that a ‘70s country veterinarian could hardly have imagined. More than ever, the success of every veterinary workplace large or small depends on all the people who work there – veterinarians, nurses, receptionists, and all support staff.

The 2018 NZVA Mega-Conference brings together eight special interest branches and the New Zealand Veterinary Nursing Association to celebrate the great and the good of the veterinary profession and its role in today’s society. That role increasingly contributes to the value that society places on the shared wellbeing of animals, people, and the environment.

The conference will be followed by a series of optional workshops on Friday 22 June that will provide additional learning opportunities.
