Healthy Thinking For The Veterinary Profession

Emotional fitness + Attitude training = Enhanced performance

  • Feeling overwhelmed by expectations or limitations in your workplace?
  • Do you want to increase productivity, lower stress, and achieve new levels of job and interpersonal success?

At times workplace and non-work related stressors can combine to put extreme pressure on some veterinary professionals. Stress is known to lead directly to many chronic and acute health problems such as heart disease, high blood pressure and depression.

Research shows that how or what we think directly affects our moods and how we feel. Contrary to popular belief, events or situations do not determine your mood. Instead, your mood typically determines how you think about the event or situation.

The NZVA has teamed up with The Healthy Thinking Institute to offer the veterinary profession an online course using tools developed to teach emotional and attitudinal management leading to reduced stress. Want to learn how to develop a heathier attitude? Then join the course and learn how.

Who should do this course?

This course is for everyone working in the veterinary industry.

Developed by Tom Mulholland and his team of doctors and psychologists and delivered online, the Healthy Thinking Digital Learning Solution includes six self-pacing modules to be completed over eight weeks incorporating videos and activities to work through at your own pace (each module takes 2-6 hours on average).  The course includes:
