About this course
A one day wet lab on equine limb radiography will be presented at locations across New Zealand.
The morning will be filled with presentations by our two radiographers on how to take the best images of each area of the limb. This session will cover the important anatomy exposed by each image. The most important lesions that can be seen in each of these locations will be discussed.
The afternoon will be a hands-on lab using digital radiography machines. Participants will have the opportunity to take images with the guidance of the instructors in order to perfect their radiography skills.
Coffee, tea and lunch will be provided.
We ask that participants bring their own x-ray gown if they are available.

This is an important skill of any equine veterinarian armed with an x-ray machine. Even if your images are adequate, you can help yourself and your clients by achieving exemplary images that can be shared with your colleagues without self-consciousness!
After graduating from Massey University, in 2010 Craig completed a 12 month internship at the Randwick Equine Centre in Sydney. Craig returned to NZ and joined Cambridge Equine Hospital in 2011. Whilst he is involved in all areas of the practice, his main interest areas are reproduction and stud medicine, diagnostic imaging, and pre-purchase examinations. Craig is heavily involved in the pre-sales radiography of weanlings, yearlings, and two year olds, as well as Hong Kong Jockey Club pre-purchase examinations.
Activities in this roadshow workshop can be recorded under either continuing veterinary education or collegial learning activity.
