Code of Practice
The Code of Practice is authorised by the Director General of Agriculture under section 28 of the ACVM Act 1997, and was gazetted in February 2003. It provides for authorisation of certain persons who are not veterinarians, to adminster certain Prescription Animal Remedies that are classified under section 98 of that Act. The conditions on registration of products containing the specified drugs allow for their use under an approved code.
