Our structure
Our governance and management follows a Strategic Plan and is strengthened by five Board subcommittees:
- Veterinary Business Group – provides members with the professional business tools and resources they need to help them develop their businesses.
- Education – responsible for continuing education, seminars, workshops, conferences, VetScholar online courses, the New Zealand Veterinary Journal and SciQuest e-library.
- Finance and Risk Management – provides oversight on financial, staffing and general resources and IT strategy.
- Marketing and Communications – responsible for the marketing and communications activity across all areas of the NZVA.
- Standards – develops position statements, guidelines, benchmarks, policies and codes of practice.
We have 14 Special Interest Branches and 15 Regional Branches affiliated to us. Members are encouraged to join any of these.
