History of the NZVA
The NZVA was established in 1923 as a not-for-profit organisation to promote the veterinary profession and to safeguard animal health and welfare.
Our colourful history is captured in And While You're Here - a recent book celebrating 75 years of the NZVA.
Book costs $60 and copies are are available at our online book shop.

And from its own humble beginnings in New Zealand in 1823, see the New Zealand veterinary profession timeline here.
