Policies and Constitution
The NZVA operates with clear policies, codes of practice, guidelines and position statements in place.
These are developed following consultation with relevant groups involved in and connected to the veterinary profession and are approved by the NZVA Board before distribution to members.
We review all of these every five years.
Policies
As a professional association, the NZVA has a public duty to develop policies on what are (and are not) acceptable practices within the veterinary profession. In developing policies we practice good corporate citizenship.

Constitution
The NZVA provides leadership and direction to the veterinary profession in New Zealand to ensure it retains and expands its relevance to society, the economy and the environment.
Our Constitution has recently changed. Read it here.
