The New Zealand Veterinary Association (NZVA) is the only membership association representing New Zealand veterinarians. We’re proud to have served and supported our members since 1923, and excited to now be helping the profession be better recognised and valued for the unique role they play in society.
The NZVA is governed by a Board and managed by a Chief Executive Officer. We have offices in Wellington and Palmerston North.
The NZVA is supported by our 14 special interest and 15 regional branches. Each branch has an elected committee who work to represent their members on various projects. They also provide collegial support through CPD and social events.
Our policies, guidelines and position statements outline our agreed principles and provide a platform from which the Association can advocate for the profession.
The New Zealand Veterinary Journal
The New Zealand Veterinary Journal (NZVJ) is an international journal publishing high quality peer-reviewed articles covering all aspects of veterinary science, including clinical practice, animal welfare and animal health.
VetScript promotes the incredible breadth and depth of the veterinary profession - from cutting-edge scientific innovation to profiling leaders in our profession who are making a difference on a global scale.
